Yesterday, I met a Sword Singer (aka:SWS) mate whom I used to help him a few months before. As he didn’t have a decent gear but only a n00b dagger and armor on him at that moment he needed a good support to play.

 
Well, yesterday he wasn’t.  Ta-da-! He appeared with a full set of S grade ubber gears and even got element enchantment on his gears!


I was stunned and asked, ‘Wow.. you changed a lot! How did you get these?’

 
He replied, “Well, I had a lot of materials which I saved and I could manage to buy these…” which was a total b*lls*it.
 
A Lot of gamers would give an excuse to convince others for such sudden upgrades by explaining how lucky he was to success in enchanting items, saving stuffs etc… (There are so many excuses which you can make) However, in fact, those people are not really lucky neither patient enough to save stuffs but rich enough to spend a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars to buy game currency.

 
It is just …. a common practice that all ebayers say like that and others would pretend as if it were real result of effort because  everyone knows that it is almost impossible to get a ‘good’ gears through an ordinary way – following the rules and policies set by the game developer.


I agree that buy game currency will shorten the life of game, however, gamers like me don’t care about the revenue of the gamer developer. I do care about my own entertainment and satisfaction.


If I have to kill only a same mobs by clicking mouse repeatedly as if I were a machine, I would find an alternative for that.


So it brings me to a conclusion – why do you play this boring game?


Lineage 2, is a great game itself but only the leveling process and hunting is boring as you have to spend an crazy amount of time to gain experience (gain level). Also, Lineage is all about your appearance and PVP. You can hunt monsters with basic gears with no problem. However, when you are in engaged with PVP, it does affect if you are wearing basic gears.


The real fun comes from PVP.
