[ENG] RMT scandal of D&F (Dungeon & Fighter) staff

D&F (Dungeon & Fighter) is a MMORPG which is published by Samsung and developed by NeoPle.
A D&F staff, who’s alias is “DJ다크써클”, had abused GM abilities generating, enchanting items and even selling those it in RMT site. This scandal was revealed on 28 June 2007 by an avid D&F gamer who’s alias is “필잉”, who suspected these facts and volunteered to track details from various sources.

*Referring RMT sites in game with alternative toon (not GM character)
*Equipped his toons with incredibly high enchanted items
Right after this scandal broke out, D&F management team had posted an apology; however, no details neither confirmation of the scandal was given out.
I was hesitating in posting this news in English but finally decided to post to emphasis on GM ethics are extremely important and also because I didn’t like the style which D&F dealing with this scandal. D&F management should have announced honestly with all the details and apology with their heart. (I’m afraid they would say, “Mind your business” lol)
There are some off the record stories of D&F management related to this staff but to focus on this scandal, I would like to highlight that ethics in managing a virtual space(world) like MMORPG is essential.
Regarding this scandal, I do believe there are lot more to think about RMT, MMOG managing etc. Trackbacks or comments related this post are welcomed.
